We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dean of Students who will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, supporting student development, and promoting academic success. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to the well-being of all students.
Requirements:- Oversee student conduct and discipline, ensuring a safe and respectful school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student academic and social-emotional development.
- Implement and monitor school-wide behavioral expectations and policies; address safety and welfare issues by holding meetings with parents, investigating incidents, documenting findings, contacting proper authorities and conforming to legal requirements and regulations.
- Implement programs and initiatives that promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among students.
- Monitor and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop intervention strategies.
- Serve as a resource for students and families, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor attendance trends including overseeing truancy interventions.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school administration to address concerns and promote a collaborative school culture.
- Stay informed about best practices in education and student support, and implement relevant strategies within the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably in a leadership or administrative role (Minimum of three (3) years)
- Strong understanding of child development and effective behavior management techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
