Rocky Mountain College of Art Design is looking for an adjunct faculty to join our Graphic Design Department. The ideal candidate will have experience design software and design processes in a variety of design disciplines and be well versed in the following : UX / UI, Information Visualization, Web Design, Environmental Graphics, Motion Graphics, Image manipulation, Layout Design, Package Design, Vector Illustration and Brand Identity Systems. As an instructor in Graphic Design at RMCAD, you will channel your artistic expertise into guiding students. Through the program, Graphic Design students develop skills in researching, evaluating, and addressing design challenges, establishing effective processes for lifelong application in their careers. The curriculum covers areas such as branding, advertising, user experience, and more. Throughout the program, you'll help actively build a professional students portfolio, equipping them for success in your post-graduate endeavors. Primary Responsibilities :
- Teaching and Instructional Activities : the practice and art of teaching, including evaluation by students, supervisor(s), and self. Faculty must also comply with all administrative and classroom management policies, procedures, and instructional deadlines.
- Facilitate meaningful learning of curriculum course, and competencies and proactively support all facets of the learning environment
- Encourages a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning, and ethics
- Delivers instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement and effectively planning and preparing for classes for student success.
- Record class attendance in Faculty Portal and submit midterm / final grades by the due date specified.
- Hold regular, weekly office hours.
- Provide timely and periodic feedback to students on assignments and participation.
- Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Execute assessment practices when necessary.
- Experience in the following areas : Graphic Design, Typography, Motion Design, Layout Design, and Vector Illustration.
