The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Since our founding in 1984, we have helped conserve nearly one square mile of elk country every day. In partnership with others, we have conserved or enhanced more the 9.1 million acres including improving public access to 1.6 million acres.
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and supporting new and existing software solutions and systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, training, and evaluating RMEF systems while providing clear documentation and recommending process improvements. Additional responsibilities include application and database administration, workflow optimization, and providing customer service and technical support.
This position is located at our headquarters in Missoula, MT and is not remote.
Essential Functions
Supervise sub-contractors and vendors for organizational I.T. projects.

Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, accounting or equivalent professional experience is required. Must have a minimum of three years practical experience in corporate databases, NetSuite applications experience preferred. Experience providing technical support to end users required. Must have experience in report writing and data analytics
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The employee must sit or stand for long periods of time; use a computer terminal; reach forward and to the side; bend from both standing and sitting position; and lift items weighing various pounds, including some heavy lifting. Some travel may be required.

Essential Functions
- Systems Analysis & Improvement
- Collaborate with appropriate leadership and department management to develop and implement organizational-wide solutions, enhancing system application through configuration and development to meet business requirements.
- Define, document and monitor organizational processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with internal IT team and other business units to implement system improvements
- Monitor and improve data integrity by identifying and preventing bad data sources.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Participate in IT Helpdesk support, troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users.
- Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support while transferring knowledge to team members and identifying root causes of issues
- Serve as a liaison between system users and technical support teams for advanced troubleshooting and system enhancements.
- Data & Analytic Support
- Assist users with data analytics, including query development, data output and training on relevant tools.
- Security & Compliance
- Handle confidential data with discretion, ensuring security and compliance.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in English spelling and rammer.
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful.
- Ability to effectively communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence decision-making and change.
- Strong customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite ERP.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database management with the ability to write reports..
- Must have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex information systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to document technical issues, resolutions and train/mentor members of the team
- Demonstrated ability to influence beyond the scope of their position
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with end users and IT teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Possesses a working knowledge of the business and/or technical environments in which the system operates, as well as the business function it supports
