Position Purpose
This position will be responsible for floater coverage for Service Coordinators in the event of staff turn-over or extended leave, as well as training the new Service Coordinators being onboarded.
As a Trainer/Floater, this Service Coordinator:
- Is responsible for all caseload related tasks including primary contact for caseload, meeting scheduling and coordination of coverage with Supervisor support
- Responsible for data entry into Unicorn and Caselogic of any needs related to the caseload that is being covered
- Provide additional coverage for the department as needs arise
- May participate in additional shadowing opportunities when a new hire is in training and preparing to take over the floating caseload
- Collaborates with Supervisors for the respective caseloads being covered
- Training new Service Coordinators in their day to day case management tasks
- Monitoring when a new Service Coordinator is ready to take on more case management tasks/responsibilities and delegating said tasks when appropriate
- Reporting back to Supervisor and Operations Manager on how the new hire is doing and when they are ready for sign off on training items
- Maintaining the EI Handbook/Process Manual
- Take notes during the EI Program Meetings, sending notes to EI Service Coordinators, along with PowerPoint from meeting
- Compiling updates for staff and sending out Trainer Reports, when needed
- Providing up-training to current staff, when appropriate, and with the support of Supervisors
- Running/helping with Class Room (group) Trainings
- Facilitating Lunch and Learns on various topics, when appropriate
- Schedule trainings and shadows for new hires, as needed
- Be available to staff for questions and technical support; be available in the office when management team is in leadership meetings and unavailable

- Knowledge and understanding of supporting families in working with their children with delays and/or disabilities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to analyze information and use sound judgement when making recommendations or solving problems.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Basic skill in computer software programs
- Ability to function as a team-player
- Skill in mediation and conflict-management
- Knowledge of community resources
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
- Knowledge of resources, policies, and history of EI systems at local, state and national levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years case management experience working with people with developmental disabilities and their families
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently.
Driving Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of motor vehicle insurance
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work
- No major violations in the past three years.
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
