The RCM will oversee all aspects of laboratory billing operations, including direct supervision of our offshore billing team based in the Philippines. This role ensures the timely and accurate claims submission, proper coding, revenue cycle optimization, and payer compliance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in laboratory billing, strong leadership skills, and is a certified professional coder (CPC).
Responsibilities:
Application Deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before any stated deadline.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9-5
Must be available for regular on-site work in Draper, UT, with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week
Work Location: Hybrid – Draper, UT
Job Type: Full-time, W2
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience and determined by the hiring manager, not the recruiter
Relocation assistance is available and will be determined on a case-by-case basis

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a billing team of approximately 30–40 individuals, including offshore team members based in the Philippines
- Oversee the end-to-end billing process for molecular diagnostics and toxicology lab services
- Ensures the accurate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) coding for all laboratory procedures in compliance with payer requirements
- Manage denials, appeals, and reimbursement issues to maintain optimal revenue cycle performance
- Develop and maintain billing policies, workflows, and training to improve efficiency and compliance
- Collaborate with the laboratory, finance, and IT departments to resolve billing-related concerns
- Analyze billing data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, payer changes, and industry standards
- Serves as a point of escalation for complex billing issues or client concerns
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in clinical laboratory billing, preferably in molecular and/or toxicology services
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within a medical billing or revenue cycle management team
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory billing practices, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, compliance requirements, and payer-specific billing guidelines
- Proven leadership experience managing remote or offshore billing teams, with an emphasis on communication, accountability, and team development
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical, clinical, and administrative teams
- Hands-on experience using medical billing and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Experience with AdvancedMD or similar billing platforms is highly preferred
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and drive process improvements to support revenue cycle optimization
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment with evolving priorities
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – Required
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred but not required
