Job Summary:
Rocky Mountain Landscape and Fence is looking for a full time Sprinkler Technician. The Sprinkler Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining sprinkler systems for residential and commercial properties. This role involves troubleshooting system malfunctions, replacing damaged components, ensuring efficient water distribution, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, controllers, pumps, and sprinkler heads.
- Identify leaks, pressure issues, and electrical faults within irrigation systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and system optimizations for water efficiency.
- Install and program irrigation controllers, sensors, and smart watering systems.
- Conduct backflow testing and ensure compliance with local irrigation codes.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
- Keep records of repairs, parts used, and service performed.
- Educate clients on system operation, maintenance, and water conservation.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in irrigation repair, plumbing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of irrigation components, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and irrigation schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to dig, lift, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certifications such as Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) are a plus.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions.
- Travel to multiple job sites within the service area.
- Interaction with customers, contractors, and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
