What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Welding Apprentice position at ROCKY MOUNTAIN MECHANICAL?
Duties:
- Understanding of welding processes, with the ability to complete quality field welds both on carbon and stainless steel piping.
-Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in commercial and industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects
- Provide field service for emergencies and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance on piping systems
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency in basic math for measuring and calculating pipe lengths
- Experience with pipe threading and assembly techniques
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair piping systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Uphold high standards of safety at all times
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in tight spaces
