Position : Director of Talent Strategy Location : Denver, CO Reports to : CEO Salary Range : $85,000 - $120,000 We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families. Key Responsibilities Talent Strategy & Performance Management Build and implement a performance management system that is human-centered, transparent, and accountability-driven, ensuring every RMP team member receives actionable feedback aligned with our mission. Partner with school and department leaders to embed execution discipline and accountability structures that drive measurable improvement. Design and continuously improve career pathways that clarify growth, development, and advancement at RMP. Establish and maintain feedback loops, ensuring that performance management processes include multiple perspectives (self, supervisor, peer, student, where applicable). Compensation & Rewards Strategy Develop and execute a competitive, equitable, and sustainable compensation strategy that reflects our commitment to retaining top talent while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Conduct regular salary benchmarking and pay equity analyses to ensure our compensation model remains competitive and mission-aligned. Partner with Finance, HR, and Senior Leadership to ensure that compensation structures are transparent, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities. Talent Data & Analytics Use data to drive decision-making, providing insightful, action-oriented reports on workforce trends, retention risks, and opportunities for improvement. Own HR technology solutions that streamline and enhance performance management, talent tracking, and compensation administration. Maintain real-time visibility into talent health metrics, ensuring that leadership proactively identifies and addresses talent gaps before they become crises. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a thought partner and execution leader for senior leadership, ensuring that talent decisions align with RMP’s mission, vision, and strategic direction. Qualifications & Experience 7 years of experience in talent strategy, HR, or performance management, ideally in a high-accountability, student-centered organization. Proven experience designing and executing performance management systems that drive measurable results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive continuous improvement. Experience with HR technology, compensation benchmarking, and workforce analytics.
