Why We Need YOU
Member of Rocky Mountain Prep’s (RMP) Finance and Planning Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting / Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the reporting financial health of the organization. The Senior Accountant will support the daily operations of the General Accounting department by managing the financial activities for reimbursable governmental grants, serving as backup for monthly payroll processing, partnering with the financial accounting team and assisting the annual financial audit.
The Finance and Planning team sits within the People and Business Administration (PBA) portfolio of teams. The Vision for the PBA is that Every Human Thrives. The work of the Senior Accountant will be in alignment with RMP’s core values (Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness).
The Senior Accountant will provide :
Pull grant-related payroll backup files according to the grant budget
Tracking YTD Grant funding requests and remaining balances against grant budget
Record the governmental funding received with the CDE chart of account code
Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, maintain monthly account reconciliation schedules, and prepare appropriate journal entries. Research / resolve discrepancies.

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $60,000- $90,000 based on experience. While the full salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,00 we anticipate most offers falling between $70,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications
