Role Overview:
As a Mascot producer, you will work closely with our design team to create customized, one-of-a-kind mascot suits that bring our clients’ visions to life. You’ll be responsible for the full construction process, ensuring each suit is comfortable visually appealing, and most of all, durable (many of our customers perform stunts such as backflips, stilt-walking, etc. in their suits, so we need to make sure these suits can withstand ANYTHING!).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Construction: Collaborate with the creative team to bring designs to life by building mascot suits from scratch or refurbishing preexisting ones.
- Materials Management: Select and source materials such as foam, fabrics, and adhesives that are both functional and visually appealing.
- Detail Work: Intricate features like facial expressions and accessories to enhance the characters.
- Customization: Tailor suits to fit specific branding needs, ensuring each suit embodies the unique personality of the character.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks to ensure durability, safety, and comfort for the performer.
Qualifications:
- Experience in costume design, garment construction, or a related field (either professionally or as a hobby).
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of fabrics, foam, sewing, and other materials used in mascot costume creation.
- Ability to work with various tools and machinery, including sewing machines, cutting tools, and adhesives.
- Attention to detail and an eye for creating high-quality, aesthetically pleasing designs.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle design challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while meeting project deadlines.
- Previous experience in mascot, furry, or cosplay costume building is a plus but not required.
Why Join Rocky Mountain Productions?
- Creative Freedom: Use your creativity to craft unique, fun, and impactful mascot suits.
- Collaborative Environment: Work in a supportive and dynamic team atmosphere where your contributions are valued.
- Exciting Projects: Get involved in projects for a variety of industries including professional sports teams, universities, and independent companies.
