The Account Executive for Business Partnerships is a revenue-generating position where revenues are generated as a result of Public Media's community relevance and positive impact. In addition to representing and generating revenue from creating partnerships through leveraging Rocky Mountain Public Media's statewide reach and multiple distribution platforms (RMPBS, WORLD, CREATE, RMPBS KIDS television channels, RMPBS' Passport Streaming service, Digital assets, KUVO Jazz Radio and THE DROP urban alternative radio), this role will also support the RMPM in the development and monetization of non-traditional revenue streams.

Primary Responsibilities
Works with the SVP of RMPM Partnerships and underwriting revenue team and is responsible for increasing Rocky Mountain Public Media revenue. Job duties include sale of on-air messages, online ads, sponsorship of outreach events and other Rocky Mountain Public Media Offerings including RMPBS, RMPBS Kids, PBS Kids 24 / 7, Create, World, related digital, KUVO Jazz and The DROP products. The position develops new business and provides continuing account management through a consultative sales approach.
Opens new avenues of underwriting opportunity for RMPM through strategizing with the SVP and Chief revenue Officer on the development of non-traditional revenue streams based on prior, working experience.
Maintains productive revenue pipeline through prospecting, research, meetings, proposals and networking.
Qualifies copy points and writes copy that adheres to RMPM and FCC current guidelines.
Drafts and finalizes underwriting agreements including schedules and costs.
Maintains account records, traffic orders, receivables, database input and tracking in salesforce.
Provides outstanding customer service and communication to all clients, vendors and staff.
Insures timely collection of accounts receivable.
Keeps department SVP updated on account and prospect status through regular meetings, reports and phone calls.
Attends team meetings to ensure annual individual and team goals are met.
Provides coaching, where needed to less experienced Account Executives, support staff and provides mentor leadership where appropriate.
Actively participates in RMPM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training program. Uses key standards and teachings of DEI training in all aspects of their work.
Represents KUVO Jazz (89.3), THE DROP (104.7) and Rocky Mountain PBS with values-aligned behavior at all times.

Minimum Qualifications of Position
A minimum of five years' sales / underwriting, partnership management experience, and / or training or ten-year combination of education and experience in both commercial and public media are required.
Strong set of "values-aligned" local business relationships that are well suited for public media underwriting.
Experience in television, radio, digital and non-traditional revenue sales
Preferred Qualifications of Position
Knowledge of Colorado market and public media's unique value in it.
Passion for public broadcasting and the critical role it plays in Colorado communities.
Strong level of understanding in business development and project management
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate as needed

This position works primarily in office, studio, editing, and / or field environments. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule with occasionally long hours including some evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel throughout the state and beyond, on occasion. Salary : $78,000 - $80,000
