Overview
Rocky Mountain Vital Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Infusion to join our healthcare team as a PRN infusion nurse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with experience in various clinical settings, including pediatrics and critical care. As an Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications and treatments through intravenous routes while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Ideal candidates will reside between Longmont and Ft Collins.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous medications and therapies to patients, both in the home and infusion suite, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy and respond appropriately.
- Perform lab draws as required for laboratory testing and medication administration.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families about infusion therapies, potential side effects, and self-care practices.
- Provide support for emergency medicine situations as needed, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Able to take Phone Triage weeknights 430pm-8 am and weekends as needed
- Must have excellent IV skills and enjoy working with patients
- Make a difference by using your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist our patients in the comfort of their own home
- Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners
- Provides infusion skilled nursing care to patients including, but not limited to: patient assessments, patient/caregiver teaching, development and revision of the plan of care, implementation of physician orders, monitoring patient response, response to emergency patient needs and psychosocial support
- Pay: Up to $40.00 to $45.00 per hour

Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in inpatient settings, particularly within pediatrics or medical-surgical units.
- Familiarity with critical care transport protocols is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory processes related to infusion therapy.
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in aseptic technique and emergency response procedures.
