Rocky Mountain Wound Care Specialists is Northern Colorado's first independent, office-based wound center. We aim to provide physician-led expert care for all individuals experiencing wound-related issues. Our environment is professional, rewarding, and engaging.
Rocky Mountain Wound Care Specialists is looking for a medical assistant to start in April 2023. We are the first office-based independent wound clinic dedicated to serving patients in the Northern Colorado region. We are ideally seeking full-time candidates, though part-time opportunities are also available.
Clinical duties include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining vital signs
- Obtaining and documenting medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examinations and bedside procedures
- Assisting the physician during examinations and procedures
- Scribing for the physician (procedure documentation, DME order entry, etc)
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Providing patients with post-visit instructions and education
- Transmitting prescription refills as directed
- Assisting with wound care and changing dressings
Administrative duties include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling and checking-in patients
- Answering telephones
- Welcoming patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Care coordination
- Filling out insurance forms
- Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services when needed
- Assisting with inventory/supply management
- Cleaning and sterilizing reusable instruments (training will be provided)
Requirements:
- No experience required
- Pre-med/pre-nursing students encouraged to apply
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) preferred
- CMA preferred, RMA acceptable
- Must provide 2-3 references
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Schedule:
- M-Th, 8 am-6 pm
- Shifts vary in length, may leave between 4-6 pm depending on day
Compensation:
- $20-25/hr based on qualifications/experience
