Core Functions :
Oversee and manage the personnel and daily operations of the RMU Foundation and its resources, investments, and management portfolio, including the leadership of the RMU Health Clinics and RMU Alumni Association.Report to and work closely with the Foundation Board and the RMU President, and work collaboratively with the RMU leadership and community.Develop, implement, and manage the Foundation’s mission, vision, bylaws, policies, and procedures, and the development, maintenance, and fulfillment of its strategic plan in coordination with RMU’s mission, vision, policies, procedures, and strategic plan.Manage the Foundation's budget, financial activities, and endowment, and ensure the Foundation is self-sustaining, solvent, and sustainable with investment growth.Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, donor stewardship, major donor giving, annual giving campaigns, grant writing, and identifying, creating, and pursuing new funding opportunities.Build and maintain organizational partnerships and relationships with prospective donors, donors, and stakeholders, leading to financial and other support and synergies for the RMU Foundation.Implement and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) tool and donor database (Givebutter) to track and manage donor relations, communications, and gift information, including a donor Wall of Honor, in a timely and accurate manner that is compatible with RMU systems and meets required financial practices.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and proper internal controls to manage Foundation resources, including transparency and accountability measures and reports for all Foundation operations (payables and receivables), campaigns, donations, initiatives, and programs.Represent the Foundation at RMU and community events and meetings, including preparing and presenting reports to the Foundation Board, donors, RMU leadership, and RMU boards.Coordinate with the RMU University Marketing and Communications team the Foundation's marketing, public relations, social media sites, and engagement efforts, including those for the RMU Health Clinics, RMU Alumni Association, and RMU and community giving campaigns.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Foundation, RMU Health Clinics, and RMU Alumni Association campaigns, initiatives, and programs, and adjust as necessary to ensure their success.Background / Expertise :
A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.A certified Fund-Raising Expert (CFRE) certification is preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising and 5 years in nonprofit leadershipProven track record in nonprofit management, fundraising, and donor relationsKnowledge of the art and science of fundraisingExperience working with, developing, and leading volunteers and management / advisory boardsKnowledge of regulatory requirements for nonprofitsExperience in community engagement and partnership buildingProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs and fundraising softwareExperience in grant writing and managementKnowledge of marketing and public relations strategiesExperience with major gifts or capital campaignsStrong financial management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to inspire and motivate a teamPassion for the Foundation's missionEEO Statement :
