Core Functions :

  • Assist University personnel to enable effective engagement of prospective Optometry applicants
  • Oversee and host program informational sessions to educate interested parties of the Optometry program
  • Work closely with Enrollment Management to fulfill functions necessary for screening and scoring applications, interviewing candidates, extending offers, securing students, and ensuring pre-matriculation requirements are completed.
  • Coordinate with the Chair of the Admissions Committee to facilitate continuous self-assessment and improvement of admissions processes.
  • Working closely with the University Marketing and Communications team to ensure that Optometry program information published on the website current in accordance with accreditation guidelines.
  • Provide administrative oversight for student records information related to administration and pre-matriculation requirements.
  • Work with external constituencies as it pertains to admission workflows
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Background / Expertise :

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of one (1) year of administrative or clerical experience preferred
  • Perform work with accuracy, clarity, consistency, and thoroughness
  • Plan, organize, follow up, and analyze daily workload for optimum productivity and methods for improvement
  • Meet deadlines, work independently, and is a team player
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities and effectively multi-task
  • Well-organized and strong follow-up skills
  • Handle all related information of a sensitive and protected nature with the utmost level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High professional standards and ethics
