Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess a variety of maintenance person skills. This role involves working on construction sites, performing tasks related to painting, drywall installation, and general labor. The Painter/Laborer will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Assist in drywall installation and repair tasks, including plastering and caulking.
- Perform frame carpentry duties as required for various projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and general labor roles.
- Familiarity with drywall installation techniques and plastering methods.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of frame carpentry principles is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
