Job Overview:
This position involves working in a wet laboratory and manufacturing environment. A successful candidate should be able to conduct a variety of laboratory experiments and document and report results. Proficiency with fundamental laboratory techniques is a must. We are a small team, and our work is dynamic and fast paced. To accommodate this, we are looking for candidates who are quick learners, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to multi-task. Key Responsibilities:
· Prepares a diverse array of formulations, liquid samples, and solid samples for a variety of characterization methods.
· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and clearly document all procedures and results in a laboratory notebook.
· Analysis of data and preparation of accurate, clear, and detailed reports.
· Maintains lab equipment and infrastructure used for R&D and production.
· Supply weekly updates on long-term projects.
Qualifications/ Skills:
· Experience operating and interpreting some combination of the following instrumentation: DSC, TGA, rheometer, FTIR, NMR, UV-VIS, mass spectrometry, universal materials testing, and impact testing.
· Synthetic chemistry experience is a plus.
· Extrusion and injection molding experience is a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word for document creation and formatting, Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management, and PowerPoint for creating professional presentations.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, material science, or related discipline with 0-3 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

· May need to lift up to 25 lbs
