Job Overview

As a Construction Project Manager at RoCon Construction, you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, with a primary focus on commercial construction. You will collaborate with superintendents, clients, design professionals, and subcontractors to ensure projects meet stringent timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with client goals and project specifications.
• Team Coordination: Lead project teams, including superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure seamless execution of all project phases.
• Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
• Budget Management: Monitor project costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, building codes, and medical-specific regulations (e.g., infection control, HIPAA compliance).
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Safety Oversight: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies, fostering a safe work environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and closeout documents.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve project challenges promptly, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction project management
• Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field required; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace. Ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications.
• Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Certification, LEED AP, CHC, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations, particularly those specific to medical facilities.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams, build strong relationships, and drive project success under tight deadlines.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and financial acumen to manage budgets and resolve project challenges.
• Availability: Willingness to travel within the Iowa City region
