Responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator :
Conduct yearly inspections of all company business parks and rooftop safety systems, delivering comprehensive reports to management
Assist the Safety Manager with various responsibilities, including new hire orientations, managing PPE inventory, facilitating safety training sessions, and handling data entry tasks
Perform inspections on rooftops, safety equipment, and other areas requiring the use of safety harnesses and ladders
Engage with employees to address safety concerns and provide guidance on maintaining a safe work environment
Maintain detailed reports of inspections, safety improvements, and compliance efforts
Carry out additional safety-related duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Safety Coordinator :
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management, Project Management, or Construction Management; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
Familiar with OSHA safety standards
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with safety equipment, maintenance inspections, and compliance standards
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to groups
Open to occasional out-of-state travel
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
On-site, travel required
