You’ll collaborate with Transportation Brokers to assist with daily operations and customer needs, managing loads, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring seamless transportation logistics from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build loads and set up carriers, ensuring all logistics are in place for smooth transportation
- Make and receive calls to carriers to provide updates, address inquiries, and confirm scheduling details
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, while keeping customers informed and updating their systems with critical information
- Ensure all necessary documentation is sent to carriers and confirm insurance certificates are in place
- Regularly update systems with load details and tracking information for both shippers and carriers
- Answer phones, direct calls to the appropriate broker, and handle related communication tasks
- Support the accounting department with tasks such as matching invoices to files and issuing payments
- Contribute to increasing capacity for specific projects and overall office needs by effectively managing carrier relationships
- Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to company standards, and maintaining a professional approach in all interactions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, ensuring accurate information is verified through online applications
- Rely on mentors and management for guidance and direction, collaborating with the team to achieve goals
Skills & Experience:
- Degree preferred but not required
- Self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communicator and problem-solver
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
