This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about innovative packaging solutions.Key Responsibilities : Packaging Design & ExecutionDirect the comprehensive development of packaging projects, ensuring consistency with brand identity and marketing strategies.Craft both functional and visual mockups to assess user experience and design form.Utilize and maintain onsite 3D printing capabilities for prototype creation and liaise with vendors for appearance models.Human-Centered DesignImplement user-centered design principles leveraging design and consumer research expertise to enhance product experiences.Incorporate consumer insights into the design methodology to deliver impactful packaging solutions.Strategic LeadershipPartner with senior team members to champion and execute innovative packaging designs and project strategies.Transform cutting-edge packaging visions into competitive advantages for the brand.Sustainability & Material InnovationInitiate and lead efforts to lower environmental impact through cutting-edge design methods, reducing material usage, exploring recyclable materials, and enhancing shipping efficiency.Research and identify the most suitable materials that balance functionality, cost-effectiveness, durability, and environmental consideration.Create technical drawings and comprehensive specifications for vendor design intent release.Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.Demonstrable experience in packaging design, including development of prototypes and sustainability projects.Expertise in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD tools) and familiarity with 3D printing technology.Strong grasp of user-centered design principles and consumer research methodologies.Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, adept at engaging with multidisciplinary teams.Strategic thinker with the capability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.This exciting opportunity is a long-term contract role offering a hybrid working arrangement in Summit, NJ.
