Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Work efficiently as part of a team with your delivery partners and warehouse manager.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as dolly and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments, signing out equipment, and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating delivery vehicles, including vans and commercial trucks.
- Experience with heavy lifting and handling of various types of cargo.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to use forklifts safely and effectively would be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
