The Grant Support Specialist will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be assisting the Grants Manager. The Grant Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and technical support in the preparation, submission, and management of grant applications and awarded grants. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with funding regulations, coordinating with internal teams, and facilitating the smooth operation of the grant lifecycle from inception to close-out.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals to government, foundation, and corporate funders
- Gather required documentation and ensure all necessary forms and supporting materials are complete and accurate for grants
- Assist with the creation of budgets, financial reports, and other proposal components
- Track grant deadlines and coordinate submission processes
- Maintain organized files and records of awarded grants
- Ensure that all reporting requirements are met for grant reports
- Assist with the review of grants and address any issues
- Ensure that all grant activities comply with the terms and conditions set forth by funders
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and agreements with funders
- Assist with audits and reviews of grants by keeping proper documentation of financial and programmatic reports
- Assist with maintaining databases of grant applications, submissions, and award details
- Compile and submit Gadbet reporting quarterly to USDA
- Prepare reports on the status of active grants, including expenditure, milestones, and other performance metrics
- Update and maintain records of funding opportunities
- Coordinate meetings and follow-ups with internal teams regarding grant-related activities
- Assist with responding to inquiries from potential funders
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in grant administration or support, preferably in a nonprofit, government, or academic environment
- Familiarity with grant management software and database systems is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Experience with compliance regulations such as OMB Circulars, Uniform Guidance, and other federal or state regulations governing grants
