What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microwave Test Technician position at Rodelco Electronics?
Rodelco Electronics, a small fast-growing business located in Ronkonkoma NY that serves the military electronics markets, has an opening for a Microwave Test Technician. In this position the individual will be responsible for testing of Microwave Synthesizers, Receivers, Converters, Amplifiers, Control Components and custom designed Integrated Microwave Assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of RF theory such as S-parameters, noise figure, gain, 1dB compression, harmonics, and intermodulation distortion measurement. The specific job duties will consist of the following:
Primary Job Duties:
Review test plans and procedures to accurately assess microwave product performance
Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, engineering, and customers to facilitate quick resolution of problems
Troubleshooting of complex microwave assemblies
Writing up final test reports for presentation to customers and management
Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards
Assisting in failure analysis and corrective action and tracking to root causes
Provide status to manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams
Job Qualifications - Education/Experience:
Associates Degree, Technical School training or equivalent experience
3 years of experience working as a Microwave Test Technician preferred
Able to work independently and within a team
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Associates Degree, Technical School training or equivalent experience
