Senior Buyer
Activities and Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities for multiple complex RF and microwave electronic systems used in military and aerospace applications.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with defense and aerospace requirements, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and other industry standards.
- Place and manage purchase orders and lead times.
- Monitor and manage vendor relationships, ensuring suppliers meet industry standards and deliver products in compliance with both internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain conditions to ensure timely availability of materials and mitigate risks related to supply shortages or delays.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to align purchasing decisions with project requirements.
- Manage and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and minimize excess or obsolete materials.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, procedures, and other procurement documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to buyers, offering support in professional development and skill-building.
- Organize and lead procurement efforts by defining and identifying required expertise
- Establish and communicate overall priorities and changing procurement requirements, including impact to schedules to functional areas.
- Resolve outstanding invoice discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in relevant business discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in purchasing and/or strategic sourcing with knowledge of aerospace, defense, and commercial procurement requirements.
- Prior ERP/MRP systems knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Prioritizes and manages multiple efforts with goal orientation.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US Citizenship required

- $80K - $105K Per Year
