Job Description
As a Home Service Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing all preventive maintenance calls on HVAC systems installed by Rodenhiser. You will educate customers on the status of their systems and any pertinent issues. Your key responsibilities will include explaining replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems, establishing customer rapport to sell the right products and services, asking the right lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating, cooling and plumbing system malfunctions, educating and assisting customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans, maintaining a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck, and being accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have 1-3 years' experience in the field, capacity to perform preventive maintenance service on HVAC systems 10 years or newer, competence at checking gas pressures, sub cool, super heat, combustion tests and static pressures, current Apprenticeship card/license or formal trade schooling, intimate knowledge and ability to use related trade tools/equipment, successful completion of trade-related schooling or equivalent experience, and current EPA universal certificate. Additionally, you must have knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing and gas codes and proper electrical and HVAC safety standards.
