Job Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas in a hospitality establishment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and enhancing their overall experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock toiletries as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance.
- Vacuum carpets and clean hard floor surfaces thoroughly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation policies, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Assist with laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Ensure guest requests are addressed efficiently and courteously.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to uphold high cleanliness standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and moving items.
