- Must have taken OSHA 30 Hour Training
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized job site
- Ensure completion and submission of required daily safety documentation
- Monitor safety of all project employees including enforcing Rodgers safety policies and procedures
- Be able to responsibly identify and correct safety hazards on site
- Be first Aid/CPR certified
- Ensure subcontractor site specific safety manuals are finalized prior to mobilization of each subcontractor
- Ensure all employees and visitors wear proper PPE at all times
- Ensure weekly project safety checklist is being completed
- Conduct safety orientations and weekly safety meetings
- Ensure that underground utility as-builts are accurate and updated
- Establish a job specific safety committee that meets weekly and tours projects to discuss safety practices and procedures
- Complete accident and incident forms, as necessary
- Walk with Rodgers Safety Team during site visits to identify safety concerns and create issues or report, as necessary
- Capable of collaboration with design team pertaining to construction documents
- Implement knowledge of construction sequencing as it relates to constructability
- Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and hand tools
- Supervise creation and maintenance of vertical and horizontal control and coordinate with Rodgers Field Engineering Department
- Constructability review of MEP/FP systems and commissioning processes
- Understand and be able to implement building code requirements
- Can establish and maintain logistics for work areas within responsibility
- Verification of on-site material per approved submittals and product data
- Coordinate inspections and design team site visits with project team and follow up with documentation
- Inspect and monitor on site material installation in accordance with construction documents
- Participate in project meetings
- Complete Standards of Excellence quality checklists at appropriate times
- Create and track completion of quality control/punch list issues throughout the project
- Establish and maintain Rodgers vertical and horizontal control
- Utilizes Rodgers quality control software and ensure subcontractors are using it properly
- Project status photo documentation
- Identify discrepancies between construction drawings and field conditions and work with project team on possible solutions
- Verify pre-inspection reviews have been completed and schedule inspections by local authorities
- Review specifications and establish correct methods and requirements needed to ensure climate conditions are met for on-site material
- Able to comprehend and implement construction documents, including but not limited to coordination drawings, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI’s, etc….
- Able to comprehend and execute subcontracts and owner contracts
- Reviews changes sufficiently and notifies team of work in place or that has to change to accommodate changes
- Assists with creation and fully understands project schedule and sequencing
- Maintains whiteboard schedule
- Develops fragment schedule(s) for work areas of responsibility (4-6 weeks)
- Coordinate upcoming activities of the construction project as directed by project superiors
- Coordinate with subcontractors for proper sequence of work and deliveries
- Fluent in operation of current project scheduling software
- Prepares routine schedule updates for project team
- Prepare and deliver schedule updates and/or comments to owner/design team
- Uses procurement log and how it correlates to scheduled activities
- Create construction daily reports
- Coordinate project deliveries and logistics
- Maintain required field and weather logs
- Proficient in the use of all Rodgers current technological resources and able to assist in training subcontractors if necessary
- Submit field employee timesheets and maintain labor log
- Maintains permit tracker as Champion or Support with office personnel
- Manages field work order and time and material processes
- Tracks field budget items and review monthly with Project Manager
- Supports office personnel, as needed, so work in place is adequately tracked and notifies team of potential roadblocks / RFI’s
- Capable of finding potential resolutions to issues and presenting them to the project team to issues with team
- Knowledge of contract scopes of work to assist team in minimizing or mitigating and issues and costs.
- Comprehends schedule of values per contractor onsite
- Attend necessary in house or external trainings to continue education
- Communicates effectively with the team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Assist in managing subcontractors in the field
- Present a clean and professional image
- Be polite and courteous to all
- Help train, mentor, and develop the skill of up and coming project teammates
