Medical Receptionist handles incoming calls from patients, insurance representatives, medical office reps etc.
Enter accurate patient demographics and insurance information and authorizations into system.
Check patients in / out, collect copays / deductibles, schedule appointments and check patients eligibility.
Refer parents to medical billing specialist.
Fax authorization requests to insurance.
Maintain inventory of office supplies.
Responsible for all other duties assigned.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate required.
Two or three years in medical office environment
Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payers, ICD 10 and CPT coding
Strong understanding of computer programs and utilization
Ability to work in an office setting and prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
Salary : $14 - $20
