- Assembles water treatment systems based on technical drawings and bill of materials.
- Assists in specifying components by contacting appropriate vendors at the direction of supervisor.
- Coordinates with administrative staff to ensure all components are delivered on time.
- Discusses errors in drawings or bill of materials with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
- Assembles systems using hand and power tools. Assembly may include, but not be limited to, gluing PVC pipe; fitting both PVC and steel pipe; attaching pumps, motors, vessels and other components with bolts and screws; and mounting conduit, pulling wires, and installing control panels.
- Prepares systems for shipment by crating and packing.
- Ensures that project is complete timely for QA and shipment.
- Travels to client site to assist with installation and startup. Must be able to travel internationally.
- Provides technical support to clients after installation and startup.
- Ensures that tools are in safe working order and are put away in their appropriate location at the end of each day.
- Must meet production schedule deadlines to assure timely shipping to customers. Immediately notifies supervisor if issues arise that do not allow for timely completion.
- Must be able to safely and properly use common hand tools in addition to saws, drills, and other power tools and other equipment as required. Must be computer literate.
