Description
We are seeking the right skilled tax accountant to join our growing accounting firm. As a tax accountant, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and businesses comply with their tax obligations. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns, and you will provide valuable tax planning advice to minimize liabilities.
Responsibilities
· Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns in compliance with current tax laws and regulations
· Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and other supporting documentation to identify tax saving opportunities and potential errors
· Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, helping them make informed decisions and optimize their tax strategies
· Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
· Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations and apply them to client cases as necessary
· Advise clients on tax implications of transactions, such as real estate purchases, stock options, and mergers and acquisitions
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of tax planning and compliance efforts
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
· 2 years proven experience working as a tax accountant, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department
· In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
· Strong proficiency in tax preparation software (Lacerte or Quick books a plus) and MS Office suite
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· High ethical standards and professionalism

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
