Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee our underground utility construction projects. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utility construction, supervising teams and a proven track record of successful project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversee all on-site activities, including the coordination of construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed on the job site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to plan and execute project schedules.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring that it meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site, making real-time decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor, materials, equipment usage, and any incidents or delays.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets, monitoring costs, and reporting any variances.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing concerns and providing updates on project progress.
  • Training & Development: Mentor and train site personnel, ensuring that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Leadership: strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Willingness to work: weekends and holidays as needed

Additional Requirements:

  • All employees must adhere to Rodriguez Landscaping & Construction’s safety standards, including participating in randomized drug testing as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Physical Abilities and Working Conditions: Most of the job site supervisor work will be done at Job Sites. The Job Site Supervisor will be exposed to varying temperatures ranges from heat 90 degrees plus to cold weather which could include temperatures in the teens, and rainy conditions. The Job Site Supervisor must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and may perform tasks requiring kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gripping and moving safely over uneven surfaces. Job Site Supervisors are expected to wear personal protective gear correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground utility construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification; other relevant certifications (e.g., confined space, trenching and excavation) are a plus.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans; proficiency in project management software.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual: able to speak both English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
