Production Shift Supervisor

Roechling, Industrial Cleveland has been a pioneer in commercial fiberglass products with its primary business including the production of semi-finished sheet, rod and profile stock for fabricated components in electrical equipment and infrastructure, and thermal insulation for common plastic, rubber and oil and gas processing. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our South Euclid, OH plant.

We are looking for a results-driven individual to oversee and manage second shift production employees and ensure compliance with safety, and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train and manage second shift production employees.
• Oversee the daily workflow and assign work based on the production schedule.
• Troubleshoot production equipment when necessary.
• Maintain and replenish raw materials within the department.
• Ensure testing is complete for quality department.
• Communicate effectively with all departments.
• Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Review and process timecards for accuracy.
• Ensure employees maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Complete accident reports and follow-up with corrective actions when applicable.
• Assure that the department is compliant with standards for hazardous waste disposal.
• Conduct disciplinary action when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

• 5 years’ hands-on supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess a proven track record of supervising others and leadership skills.
• Self-starter with initiative to tackle projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production problems as they arise.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to work over-time when necessary.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or years of equivalent relevant experience.
