Senior Sourcing Manager Responsibilities
- Manage and support supplier contract/price negotiations, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bid documents.
- Analyze category/procurement groups responsible, implement and evaluate risk analyses and supplier assessments along with developing KPI-based strategic objectives.
- Develop, plan, and implement measures for procurement groups responsible within the framework of the procurement strategy to increase/maintain competition, secure supply, increase efficiency, and raise potential savings.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Executive procurement responsibility for complex categories/procurement groups of indirect goods and services.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of technical and operational procurement activities such as SAP, capital goods/services, MRO, supplier contracts, tenders/RFQ, consumables, and other professional services.
- Leadership skills, including strategic thinking, analytical decision making, communication, adaptability, and strong team building abilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree required (Technical Degree Preferred).
- 10 years of purchasing experience in a related field of expertise or in other fields with focus on internal and/or external customers.
Preferred Knowledge
- Business law, accounting principles, state tax laws, Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and state licensing regulations.
