Job Summary: The Project and Customer Relations Support person is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation and schedule of the jobs on the shop floor including communication with customers as to updates of job status.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate’s degree in business administration, quality management, supply chain management, or similar program and/or equivalent work experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of manufacturing is highly desired.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide weekly communication to Manufacturing Directors and Customer Relations/Quality Director regarding the status of sample, production, and turn-key projects throughout the shop
- Assist in coordinating farm-out schedule and providing updates as to the status of jobs that have been farmed out
- ommunication with customers regarding updates of job status.
- Completing proper documentation based on customer communication and requests.
- Other duties associated with primary job function as directed by the Manufacturing Directors and Customer Relations/Quality Director
Requirements of Job
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of standing for extended periods with occasional position changes, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, walking, sitting, and kneeling during each shift as needed. (8-12 hours).
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 pounds as needed during each shift.
- Capable of typing, writing, and working with a monitor during each shift as needed. (8-12 hours)
- Must be able to compare shapes, observe defects or variances, and distinguish color in product and/or specifications.
- Strong motivation and organizational skills for working in a cross-functional team.
- Ability to think and communicate strategically with both internal teams and customers.
- Experience with computer systems in a networked environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing software.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills with staff and customers.
- Good problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Willingness to travel by plane or car for up to one-week timeframes.
