Job Summary The Quality Verification Inspector is responsible for measuring mold components prior to assembly and recording required measurements. This role also includes calibrating, maintaining, and documenting all measuring tools within established timeframes. The position may be held in addition to another designated role, depending on departmental needs.
Qualifications: A high school diploma is required. Experience working in quality control within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Measure mold components prior to assembly and record the measurements deemed necessary.
- Disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble, and calibrate various measuring tools.
- Maintain calibration records.
- Provide help (as schedule allows) with measuring and segregating components for mold assembly.
- Assist other teams or individuals working on projects that require special measuring needs.
- Ability to work efficiently and courteously with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of Job
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of standing for extended periods with occasional position changes, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, walking, sitting, and kneeling during each shift as needed. (8-12 hours).
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 pounds as needed during each shift.
- Capable of typing, writing, and working with a monitor during each shift as needed. (8-12 hours)
- Must be able to understand scales of measurement.
- Must be able to compare shapes, observe defects or variances, and distinguish color in product and/or specifications.
- Willingness to travel by plane or car for up to one-week timeframes.
