Job Summary:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design transfer and injection molds. The preferred candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or equivalent verifiable work experience and education combination. The candidate must have a solid understanding of design techniques, able to determine scale, perform mathematical calculations, and prepare mold layouts and prints. In addition, the candidate should have experience working with Creo/Pro-E, or similar design software.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proficiency in Creo/Pro-E, or similar design software, is a plus along, with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. We particularly value candidates who have worked in the tool and die industry, as this experience will enhance the ability to develop precise and functional designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work to meet customer expectations when designing transfer and injection molds.
- Conduct mathematical calculations and analyze design options to determine scale and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, timelines, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and refine designs to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate designs into production processes.
