Responsibilities
- Lead the compliance department, fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee compliance for all affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all affordable housing regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to executive leadership on their potential impact.
- Lead compliance audits, including internal reviews and external agency audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure all properties maintain full compliance with affordable housing guidelines.
- Establish and oversee compliance training programs for on-site and corporate staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, investors, and partners regarding compliance matters.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of compliance reports and certifications.
- Implement and manage compliance monitoring systems to track and mitigate risks.
- Evaluate compliance risks associated with new developments.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical business practices throughout the organization.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance management within the multifamily affordable housing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills/Abilities:
- Industry certifications required (e.g., HCCP, COS, TCS).
- In-depth knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, audits, and compliance monitoring programs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing compliance teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess compliance risks and implement solutions.
- Proficiency in compliance software and property management systems.
- Ability to travel as needed for property visits, audits, and meetings.

Pay Range: $161,700 - $217,000
