POSITION SUMMARY :

The Pipeline Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that pipelines are constructed and maintained in accordance with industry, government, and Roeslein standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor and analyze construction plans and schematics.
  • Verify permits to ensure compliance with environmental, railroad, state, and county regulations.
  • Participate in contractor safety meetings to clarify daily activity roles.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure adherence to industry standards, governmental regulations, and Roeslein’s specifications.
  • Ensure the consistent upkeep of the pipeline daily reports.
  • Validate certifications and equipment for compliance.
  • Facilitate communication among supervisors regarding issues and daily progress.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to identify and address concerns.
  • Maintain and update the project book daily, ensuring all content is uploaded to the digital platform.
  • Update fusion reports and steel welds, and track call tickets accordingly.
  • Travel internationally and domestically up to 80% per year and up to four (4) weeks duration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in an office and uncontrolled atmosphere.  Exposure to harsh conditions—such as :   dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible.  All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.  Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Experience in pipeline construction or underground utility construction is preferred.
  • Knowledge of reading construction sheets, drawings, and alignment sheets is preferred.
  • Continuous professional development through ongoing education and training is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to anticipate project challenges and proactively devise solutions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

  • Base Pay

    105,000-$125,000

    Bonus : 0% - 15%

    The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Roeslein considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.

    In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
