Position Summary
The Project Scheduler position is responsible for performing project controls work on multiple engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules to align with project goals and deadlines.
- Provide enterprise-wide scheduling and reporting.
- Support Project Managers and Project Coordinators by building and maintaining baseline schedules, including resource planning and cost analysis.
- Identify scheduling risks, track project progress, and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
- Integrate schedules from multiple projects for a company-wide overview.
- Create design-build schedules and ensure smooth coordination with project teams.
- Train and mentor project teams on scheduling tools and best practices.
- Assist in project planning, including estimating, forecasting, and cost control.
- Generate reports and performance metrics for management review.
- Work with manufacturing facilities to coordinate fabrication schedules and resource planning.
- Travel domestically and internationally (20-30% per year).
- Foster strong working relationships across all locations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company requirements.
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical system installation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in Primavera (Oracle) and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience in creating and managing design-build schedules.
- Strong skills in project tracking, risk management, and time management.
- Ability to train Project Managers on scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based programs; SharePoint experience is a plus.
- Strong team player with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
