About the Role
The Clinical Care Specialist will work on either an adult inpatient unit or a child/adolescent inpatient unit at Rogers Behavioral Health, providing around-the-clock support and care to patients struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. This role involves implementing patient care plans, assessing patients physically and mentally, and collaborating with the clinical team to develop effective treatment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing patient care plans that address physical, emotional, and social needs
- Assessing patients to identify their strengths and challenges
- Collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families to ensure they understand their treatment options
- Administering medication as prescribed by medical staff
Education and Training
To be successful in this role, applicants must hold a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing or equivalent. Additionally, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required within 30 days of hire. Annual re-certification is also necessary. Formal training in managing aggressive patients is also preferred but not mandatory.
