What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Coordinator position at Rogers Behavioral Health?
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Coordinator is to provide coordination, organization and documentation of maintenance and other minor construction projects. The Coordinator promotes a professional and service-oriented atmosphere for all staff, patients, and residents by helping the ES Director appropriately deploy maintenance resources and manage assets. The overarching goal for this position will be to make the maintenance department run more effectively with improved response time and customer service.
Essential Functions

- Strong understanding of the requirements to work in spaces occupied by Behavioral Health patients.

Essential Functions
- Act as contractor liaison, coordinate (and accompany if necessary) contractors on maintenance projects. Review contractor work to ensure adherence to applicable fire code.
- Organize and maintain maintenance inventory and attic stock. Implement a restocking system to ensure repair materials are available to Maintenance Technicians when needed.
- Help implement CMMS through documentation of facility infra-structure (valves, dampers, access points, etc.) and training of others.
- Assign Work Tickets based on priority, ability to perform repair and historical knowledge once the CMMS is in place.
- Organize and lead project to change to LED lighting, including researching and applying for energy grants.
- Oversee water systems to include the Legionella management plan and DNR required testing.
- Update and maintain computerized database of contractors reflecting which pieces of infrastructure they care for.
- Manage NFPA 80 fire door inspection, including going through fire door certification training.
- Work with locksmith to streamline, organize and document our physical key system.
Multidisciplinary function:
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal clients while adhering to budgets and standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary Rogers Improvement System projects.
- Document completed work as required by using established computerized systems.
- Take personal responsibility to communicate with Department Leadership regarding facilities projects as required.
- Work as a member of a team.
Additional Job Description:
Education/Training Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Associates Degree or higher preferred but not required.
- Adept at using technological tools including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn new computer maintenance management systems and teach them to others.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
