Concrete Finisher

Job Summary:

• The foreman will oversee and manage employees to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.

General Job Duties:

• Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces
• Use hand tools and power tools to shape and finish concrete
• Set up and prepare job sites for concrete pouring
• Pour and spread concrete using wheelbarrows or concrete pumps etc.
• Operate power trowels, screeds, and other equipment to finish concrete surfaces
• Apply curing compounds or sealants to protect finished surfaces
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
• All employees are responsible for a basic knowledge of the employee handbook, along with the mission and vision of Rogers Concrete Construction, Inc., and must conduct themselves with behavior that supports these values.
• Other projects and/or duties as assigned.

Essential Job Skills:

• Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques, including smoothing and leveling surfaces
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions
• Experience with concrete pumping equipment is preferred.
• Ability to oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the laborers on an assigned shift.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Prior job experience preferred
• Valid state driver’s license.
• CDL Class A with airbrake endorsement

Language Requirements:

The primary language of Rogers Concrete is English. Excellent communication skills are defined as the ability to:

• Actively listen for total comprehension.
• Ask questions that enhance the understanding of a certain topic.
• Relay information and/or instruction in a descriptive and understandable fashion in both written and verbal forms.

Employment Status:

This position is non-exempt and full time. This position at Rogers Concrete Construction, Inc. require at least 40 hours. Occasionally, time over 40 hours may be necessary in order to meet the requirements of the position. This position is considered full time and is eligible for all employee benefits.
