SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Contract-to-Hire Jewelry Photographer to join our creative team. This position is perfect for a recent graduate passionate about photography, with a keen eye for detail and an interest in capturing the brilliance and beauty of fine jewelry. You will play a key role in producing high-quality images for our marketing campaigns, e-commerce platforms, and social media channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Photography: Capture high-quality images of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, and watches, ensuring that each piece's intricate details and craftsmanship are highlighted.
- Image Editing: Retouch and edit images using software such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to ensure clarity, color accuracy, and visual appeal.
- Studio Maintenance: Set up and maintain photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and backgrounds, ensuring a consistent and professional workspace.
- Styling: Arrange and style jewelry for photoshoots, utilizing props, backgrounds, and lighting techniques to enhance the product's visual impact.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure images meet brand standards and are consistent across all platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to deliver images aligned with campaign goals and product descriptions.
- Inventory Coordination: Partner with inventory teams to track jewelry pieces during the photography process and ensure items are returned accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in photography and image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Knowledge of studio lighting and photography equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to capture fine details in jewelry products.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and social media photography trends is a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience photographing small or reflective objects like jewelry, gemstones, or watches.
- Basic knowledge of jewelry terms and features (e.g., carats, clarity, metal types).
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges during shoots.
