Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Ground Man / Plant Operator for the Tanner Plant, Tanner, AL, Alabama SMA, reporting to the Tanner Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead/work safety.
Job Details:
- Wages start at $22.00hr,
- Starting wage will be higher based on verifiable experience.
- Fulltime/Permanent
- Day Shift
- $3.00 Night Shift Premium for night work
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime available / may be required
Job Responsibilities:
- General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations
- Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times
- Report equipment problems and identify them to management
- Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines
- Perform plant operator duties
- Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
- Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions
- Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
- Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other
- duties as assigned
- Ability to learn quickly
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
