Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill a Base Stone Labor position in our Southern Middle Tennessee area, working in and around the greater Columbia, TN market. This individual will be responsible for completing various general labor tasks, and operating equipment, as needed, on the base crews.
The successful candidate for this position will be competent and skilled at completing various general and manual labor tasks around the jobsite. Familiarity and experience working around various pieces of heavy equipment is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will also have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
JOB DETAILS:

- Wages starting at $23.00/hr
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete various manual labor tasks around the job site – including work with shovels, tamps, and various other hand tools.
- Provide direction to and take tickets from trucks and suppliers on the job site.
- Operate some heavy equipment – such as a skid steer, backhoe, compacting roller, haul truck, or dozer – as needed.
- Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies. Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Effective communication skills applicable to position.
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedication to safe work practices.
- Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties as needed/directed.
- 1-2 years experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred, but not required.
- May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as necessary.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Drivers License required.
