Rogers Group, Inc.’s Central Kentucky SMA is seeking an Engineer based out of Louisville, KY . As an Engineer, you will play a vital role in helping our underground aggregate locations achieve short- and long-term success in the Central Kentucky SMA.
Responsibilities :
- Provide surveying and engineering duties for the underground aggregate mines.
- Perform underground surveys for special projects, month end calculations, and mine alignment (spads).
- Operate a drone for surveying purposes.
- Complete roof control and ventilation related projects.
- Complete annual mine planning for short and long range mine plans.
- Complete annual MSHA plan submissions.
- Perform annual reserve calculations.
- Design, budget, and lead projects to be completed by a team.
- Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
- When necessary, work weekends and night shift to complete time sensitive projects.
- Routinely travel within 3 hours of Louisville.
- Spend over half of the week in the field and out of the office.
