Job Responsibilities :
Operate wheel hoe and other heavy or grading equipment to complete grading and fine grading tasks.Operate a Wheel Hoe to complete all required operation tasksAbility to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.Effective communication skills applicable to position.Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.Qualifications :
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finish grading Required!Individual must be dedicated to working safely at all timesExperienced working with GPS control preferredFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessaryTeam playerValid driver’s licenseAdditional :Distinguish and understand signals.Read and understand grade stakes.Use both hands and feet at the same time.Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.Must be able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment.Able to use mechanic’s hand tools and tape measure.Able to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment.Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 100 pounds.Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment.Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work.Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.
35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period. Hours guaranteed, up to 35 hours (example : worked 20hrs, Actual Pay 35hrs; worked 38hrs, Actual Pay 38hrs). Weather pay is accrued on weekly accumulation, not hours per day. Holiday pay counts toward the 35-hour guarantee.
