Rogers Group is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our Corporate Tax team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the department’s daily operations and long-term growth. The Corporate Tax team oversees all aspects of corporate income tax compliance, planning, and provision. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns, tax provision preparation, tax planning, and leading a team of tax accountants. Additional duties may include income tax research and providing audit assistance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax accountants.
- Manage the calculation and review of quarterly estimated tax payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Roll forward and / or reconcile various tax-related accounts.
- Play a key role in the preparation of the annual income tax provision (ASC 740), ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, providing strategic solutions and contributing to special projects as required.
- Collaborate with other departments and assist in tax audits, providing necessary documentation and support as needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and leadership in various tax-related areas.
