Rogers Group is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our asphalt paving crews based out of Athens / Sweetwater, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to roll and smooth asphalt on driveways, parking lots, highways, and other construction areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to :
- Operate a variety of asphalt roller equipment to compact and smooth asphalt surfaces.
- Ability to use a Lute and perform other paving functions.
- Monitor and adjust the machine settings to achieve optimal compaction results.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Self-motivated individual must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
- Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include site clean-up, using a rake / shovel, flagging, and other duties as assigned
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
